About Miu

My name is Claudia Miura-Schmidt. I am an illustrator and graphic designer with a background in Japanese studies.

With Miu's Design Studio I have created a brand for my illustrated world, with my "Shikataro & friends" series taking centre stage.

My illustrations are an essence of everything I love: drawing, enjoying Japanese pop culture, but also 2D animated cartoons/anime and comics/manga in general, as well as storytelling through art. 

My motto: Life’s too short not to play, create, and have fun with it.
